From our very first conversation with Laura she exuded confidence and positivity about birth, making me feel more comfortable as our due date drew near. The knowledge she shared helped me transition from thinking about birth as a scary thing that would happen "to" me, to thinking about it as a truly special process that by and large works, and that my body would know how to handle.
The day baby arrived, Laura provided a calming presence, knowing when to offer support and when to step back as I worked through contractions. Her fluency with the stages of birth helped me remain much more calm than I otherwise would have been, and the notes she shared with me later made me smile as I looked back on and wrote about the experience.
